Account Executive

 

Our Account Executives maintain new and existing station advertisers through prospecting and great client service. Primary responsibilities include cold calling, new account development, writing proposals, coordination of commercial copywriting and production and ongoing billing collection. You’ll be responsible for building relationship and selling radio as a marking solution to help your client meet their key business challenges.

 

Required Talents

The right candidate must be motivated, enthusiastic self-starter who is able to work effectively in a team environment and also independently. You must possess excellent oral and written communication skills, time management skills and be detail oriented. This person must possess exceptional presentation skills and a professional presence.

 

Educational Requirements

A college degree in preferred, but not required.

 

Required Experience

Broadcast sales experience is beneficial, but not critical. You must be self-motivated, creative, goal-oriented and an effective problem solver.

 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

-         Calls on prospective accounts, discovers needs then presents outlines of various programs and advertising opportunities.

-         Develops and maintains relationships with clients providing top quality customer service.

-         Investigates and resolves customer problems.

-         Prepares promotional plans, sales literature, time rates and sales contracts.

-         Communicates with other departments to assure quality service in placing orders and when arranging promotions.

-         Collects prompt payment from clients.

-         Maintains required records and paperwork.

-         Attends sales staff meetings and training sessions.

-         Attends remotes for clients.

-         Other duties as assigned.

Just think - you could earn college credit and have a good time while hanging out with us.

And as an intern you will earn valuable radio experience while having fun! You may also get event tickets or some other cool stuff that we have laying around the station.!
